Taking Initia from testnet to mainnet: the airdrop, the bridge, and a wallet that gets out of the way.

23 Labs is the primary contributor to Initia, a Layer 1 backed by Binance Labs, Theory Ventures, Delphi Ventures and Hack VC. I joined during testnet and owned three user-facing surfaces through the mainnet launch.

An airdrop is a product with one launch day and no second chance. I designed the full architecture: recipient groups segmented by on-chain behavior rather than a flat snapshot, and eligibility verification built on Merkle-tree address hashing so the allocation could be published and checked without exposing the full list or requiring a trusted server.

에어드랍은 런칭 당일 단 한 번뿐인 제품입니다. 전체 구조를 설계했습니다. 단순 스냅샷이 아닌 온체인 행동 기준으로 수령 그룹을 세분화하고, Merkle tree 주소 해싱으로 자격 검증을 구축해 전체 명단을 노출하거나 신뢰 서버 없이도 배분 내역을 공개·검증할 수 있게 했습니다.

A new L1 lives or dies on whether assets can get in. When I took over, the bridge supported roughly 30 routes. Working directly with the Interchain Foundation and LayerZero, I expanded that to 200+, and introduced two new primitives: third-party swap routing, so users could arrive holding whatever asset they had, and OP bridge messaging for Initia's optimistic rollup connections.

The second half of the job was product consolidation: the bridge and wallet had grown up as separate apps. I merged them into a single surface at app.initia.xyz, so bridging in and managing assets is one flow instead of two.

나머지 절반은 제품 통합이었습니다. 브릿지와 지갑은 별도 앱으로 성장해 있었습니다. 이를 app.initia.xyz 하나의 화면으로 합쳐, 자산 반입과 관리가 두 개가 아닌 하나의 흐름이 되도록 했습니다.

Ghost Wallet

Most people who drop off a new chain drop off at the wallet step. Ghost Wallet is an account-abstraction intermediary wallet I conceived and shipped to remove that step: a new user can act on Initia before they have set up a wallet of their own, and graduate to one later. I ran alpha and beta cycles with 20+ users before launch.

신규 체인에서 이탈하는 사용자 대부분은 지갑 설정 단계에서 이탈합니다. Ghost Wallet은 그 단계를 없애기 위해 기획하고 출시한 계정 추상화 중간 지갑입니다. 신규 사용자가 자기 지갑을 만들기 전에 Initia에서 먼저 행동하고, 나중에 자기 지갑으로 옮겨갈 수 있습니다. 출시 전 20명 이상과 알파·베타 테스트를 진행했습니다.
